A Celebration of Taste at Yusupov Palace

The “A Celebration of Taste” guided tour at Yusupov Palace offers a wonderful opportunity to combine a unique culinary experience with an enriching cultural visit.

Your visit will begin with a guided tour of the magnificent state rooms on the second floor, the famous Home Theater and the private apartments on the ground floor. During the tour, you will discover the authentic lifestyle of the 19th-century aristocracy: from the glittering, gilded state rooms where the family entertained guests at balls to the intimate private chambers where numerous servants attended to the needs of the princely household.

After exploring the palace, you will stroll through the historic park and learn about the layout of this remarkable urban estate: the buildings that once surrounded the princely residence, where the pond was located and why it no longer exists, and the celebrations once held in the landscaped park. The tour will conclude at the Garden Pavilion, a unique surviving 18th-century outbuilding.

There, the gastronomic part of the programme awaits you: an aristocratic tea ceremony. The traditions of the 19th century will be brought to life at an elegantly laid table, where you will be served the favourite dessert of the Sun King himself, recreated by the head pastry chef of Yusupov Palace using an authentic historical recipe.

The programme includes:

• An exclusive guided tour of Yusupov Palace and the Yusupov estate grounds;
• An aristocratic tea ceremony with musical accompaniment in the Garden Pavilion;
• The Sun King's favourite dessert, prepared by the head pastry chef of Yusupov Palace.

Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes.
