SCENTS THROUGH THE AGES

Three new programmes at Yusupov Palace on the Moika River.

We invite you to discover not only the visible and tangible history of the princely residence, but also something more elusive and intangible: the fragrances of bygone eras.

The programme will begin with a visit to the palace. Each of the three events will take you to different parts of the Great House, as the Yusupov family themselves called their palace.

In the Garden Pavilion of the historic estate, you will be welcomed by Elina Arsenyeva, owner and director of the Perfume Museum in St. Petersburg. As a historian of perfumery, she will introduce you to the fragrances of different eras.

Tea accompanied by a delightful “floral” dessert will provide a pleasant conclusion to your autumn evening.
