Denis Matsuev Concert at the Home Theater of the Yusupov Palace On April 7, Denis Matsuev performed for the first time in the historic Home Theater of the Yusupov Palace. On the historic stage, the maestro performed Ludwig van Beethoven's Sonatas No. 17 in D minor, Op. 31 No. 2, and No. 31 in A-flat major, Op. 110, as well as Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Grand Sonata for Piano in G major, Op. 37a. The brilliant pianist praised the theater's special atmosphere and acoustics: “A unique theater, a unique palace. You feel the spirit of the place from the first seconds, from the first step. And of course, performing in places like this creates a special atmosphere, a special state.”
